White Cat, by Holly Black
I’ve heard lots of good things about Holly Black, I even follow her on Twitter. I haven’t read any of her books until now, and on this 100th page, I am loving White Cat. You’d think that magic and curses would go right along with witches, but you have it all wrong. Learning about Curse Working and Workers is really interesting, especially from Cassel’s point of view. Right now I’m not sure what Cassel is exactly planning, but what I do know is that he doesn’t even have magic. But how can you come from a family of Curse Workers when you can’t even Work? So far filled with mystery, magic, and mischief; I am so going to continue reading White Cat!

Worker stuff. I Still don’t know where they went or what she did, but when she got back, her hair was messed up and her lipstick was gone. We didn’t talk about that, but we did watch a lot of black-and-white caper movies in the basement, and she let me smoke some of the unfiltered Gitanes she picked up in Paris.
Posionous jealous thrummed through my veins. I wanted to kill Barron.
