As You Wish, by Jackson Pearce is about teenager Viola who summons a genie-literally. Yes, a real genie who pops into your world and gives your three wishes. Jinn, Viola’s genie, appears after Viola and her boyfriend broke up. Viola longs for love again, and she can’t wait until she makes her three wishes. Though she doesn’t know what to wish for-she’s even afraid of making the wrong wish! Jinn will only remain until Viola makes three wishes, and that doesn’t seem like it will happen soon. As the two spend more time together, Jinn realizes that he’s falling for Viola. And after Viola makes her first wish, both of them realize that they love with each other. Unfortunately, they’re reality isn’t what they think it is, after Viola makes her next two wishes.
My opinion: As You Wish was such a cute story! I’m so glad I picked this out, in my Judging Its Cover (2), I said that it was a book that caught my eye. I really enjoyed reading As You Wish. It was a quick read, that I’m sure everyone will enjoy. It only took me a day and a half to read, so if you need to read something for a book report at the last minute, this is the book for you. I also recommend this to everyone who loves fiction, some romance, and wishes!
