SYNOPSIS - (From Goodreads)
Someone’s been a very bad zombie.
Super-smartie Kate Grable gets to play doctor, helping out her high school football team. Not only will the experience look good on her college apps, she gets to be thisclose to her quarterback crush, Aaron. Then something disturbing happens. Kate finds out that the coach has given the team steroids. Except . . . the vials she finds don’t exactlycontain steroids. Whatever’s in them is turning hot gridiron hunks into mindless, flesh-eating . . . zombies.
Unless she finds an antidote, no one is safe. Not Aaron, not Kate’s brother, not her best friend . . . not even Kate . . .
It’s scary. It’s twisted. It’s sick. It’s high school.
THOUGHTS
Bad Taste In Boys was a novel that I simply had to devour. I practically inhaled this book! Although I am strictly not a fan of horror, Bad Taste In Boys was a very reasonable exception. Considering that I read this during nighttime, I wasn’t even scared!
Kate had a refreshing personality and a humor that I could not get enough of. She wasn’t only brave, but insanely smart, too. She made the most serious problems seem so easy to solve! And I don’t think I would been as brave as her trying to save her town from a serious zombie apocalypse.
I was sad to find out that this book was only 200 pages. Even though Bad Taste In Boys moved at a pretty fast pace, I wish I could have read more about Kate kicking some zombie butt! Fortunately for all of the Kate Grable fans all there, Carrie Harris is now writing a series about Kate’s exciting adventures. (But I bet all of you already know that!)
Bad Taste In Boys is a novel that you won’t be able to resist. I mean, who would be able to stay away from its eye-catching cover? I’m pretty sure the model was trying hard not to eat the sure from her lips. Harris’ debut novel will have you wanting for more! (And maybe more brains!)
This is a perfect October read!
