City of Bones, By Cassandra Clare

city_of_bonesCity of Bones, by Cassandra Clare is the starting of the best-selling series, The Mortal Instruments. Cassandra Clare writes about fifteen-year-old Clary drawn into the world of supernatural beings. One day, she goes to the Pandemonium Club for teens, she sees three mysterious teens, covered in weird tattoos and scary weapons. She tells her best friend, Simon, about it and he doesn’t seem to know what is going on. Clary goes into a storage room and find the three teens and a boy. Clary soon sees that the boy is dead and has vanished into thin air. The three teens turn out to be Shadowhunters, people who hunt and kill demons. Clary has never seen these people before, and she is waiting to get answers. The next few days, Clary gets what she wants. It also includes her mother missing and she herself getting attacked by a demon. Even the Shadowhunters are asking questions. Clary is dragged into a dangerous adventure that will change her life forever.

My opinion: I couldn’t believe I enjoyed City of Bones so much! I don’t think I’ve read a story like this since I read the Harry Potter Series. I was not disappointed on how the story ended and I am looking forward to read the rest of the series and I cannot wait to find out what is going to happen next. People who liked reading Harry Potter and Twilight will love reading City of Bones.
