Clarity (Clarity Series), by Kim Harrington

SYNOPSIS - (From Goodreads)
When you can see things others can’t, where do you look for the truth?
This paranormal murder mystery will have teens reading on the edge of their seats.
Clarity “Clare” Fern sees things. Things no one else can see. Things like stolen kisses and long-buried secrets. All she has to do is touch a certain object, and the visions come to her. It’s a gift.
And a curse.
When a teenage girl is found murdered, Clare’s ex-boyfriend wants her to help solve the case – but Clare is still furious at the cheating jerk. Then Clare’s brother – who has supernatural gifts of his own – becomes the prime suspect, and Clare can no longer look away. Teaming up with Gabriel, the smoldering son of the new detective, Clare must venture into the depths of fear, revenge, and lust in order to track the killer. But will her sight fail her just when she needs it most?

THOUGHTS
Clarity was WAY beyond BETTER than I expected. WOW, is all I have to say! Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect from Clarity. But I know that I wasn’t expecting much. Instead, I got a thrilling and spine-tingling mystery with murderous guys, hot guys, hot detective guys, and guys without brains (not literally, fortunately).
Clare and her family are the known freaks in the tourist trap, Eastport. They all have different psychic powers. While Clare’s mother has telepathy, and her brother can contact dead people, Clare can see what you’ve done in the past by touching an object that had to do with what she sees. Unfortunately, Clare doesn’t have many friends. She always seems to be hanging out with her brother, Perry and his best friend. But to me, it doesn’t look like it bothers her anyway. I think Clare is a funny character to read about. She has a dark sense of humor, and I don’t think I can get enough of her sarcasm! I’m also jealous of her powers. I’d love to help solve crimes and run a family business with powers like Clare’s!
Another thing that I really enjoyed about the book was the plot. Although I knew who killed the tourist all along, I couldn’t put the book down. I read it in one night! I had to read Clarity with my phone light because it was so late. And if you’re wondering if it was worth it, it was!
If the beautiful cover hasn’t gotten your attention, I hope this review will! Kim Harrington will leave you wanting for MORE.
