Eternal by Cynthia Leitich Smith, is about Miranda who becomes the dark princess heir of the reigning King of the Mantle of Dracul. But before all that happens, lets introduce Zachary, Miranda’s Guardian Angel. (aka GA) Zachary has been Miranda’s GA for as long as he can remember. And for all those years of watching her, Zachary has fallen in love with her. In fact, he is so in love with her, he gets his wings stripped! During the same night, Miranda was attacked by a vampire and was dragged to Dracula’s kingdom to become the princess heir. Now Miranda and Zachary are separated, and Zachary doesn’t know how Miranda is going to survive without him.
My opinion: To be honest, I was shocked and disappointed because Eternal was was about vampires. Even though I love vampires, I think I need a break from them. Eternal gave me hopes that it wasn’t about vampires, until I read about Miranda getting attacked. I guess the book dragged until the end but over all, I thought Eternal was okay. If you want to read more about vampires, you should read this. If you don’t want something about vampires, I suggest you don’t read it. Though it never hurts to give Eternal a try.
