Evermore, By Alyson Noel
Evermore, part of The Immortals series by Alyson Noel is about a teenage girl, Ever, who has been through a life-changing accident with her family. Ever was the only one to have survived the crash. Ever has been “granted” powers that she doesn’t want: she can read peoples’ auras. While Ever is suffering, along comes Damen, the new guy at school. Ever falls for the too-good-to-be-true guy and learns secrets that should have never been learned. Drina, a girl who used to be with Damen, is after Ever and wants Damen back. Now, Ever has to choose: an eternity of magic, or a life without Damen.
My opinion on the book: Evermore was pretty slow at the beginning, but I enjoyed it as the story progressed. I didn’t think this story would be about vampires… I didn’t really want it to, actually. Though it turns out, I really liked reading it. Evermore was probably inspired by Twilight, because I found lots of relations with both stories. I recommend this book to Stephenie Meyer fans and P.C. Cast fan. If you really enjoyed reading Evermore, the second book, Blue Moon, the second book of The Immortals.
