MY OPINION
I loved reading Gossip Girl! Its like your typical drama problems in high school, except ten times worse and posted all over the internet. Cecily von Ziegesar is an amazing author, she is so creative and original! There are a lot of mixed reviews out there, I can see both perspectives because on the positive side, Gossip Girl is juicy, it makes you want to read more and more! But on the negative side, these people are just crazy, rich high school students who revolve around money. I say we’re just all jealous. 
I do not watch the show series, but I know I will continue to read the book series!
