Heist Society, by Ally Carter, is about teenager Katrina (aka Kat) who has lived all her life as a thief. Kat didn’t want to live that life anymore, so she sneaked her way into “the best boarding school in the country.” But once your in the “family business,” there’s no way out. Kat’s friend, Hale, gets Kat expelled from her boarding school and brings her back into the world where she once belonged. Though Hale has a good reason to bring her back, her dad has been framed for stealing some priceless paintings. Kat’s dad doesn’t want her to help, but Kat can’t just leave this problem to her Dad; he’s got Interpol watching his every move and can’t do anything about it. So its up to Kat, Hale, and the rest of her childhood friends to steal the stolen paintings. Does Kat and the gang have what it takes to get those paintings back in two weeks? What will happen if they don’t? Read Heist Society to find out!
My opinion: Sometimes I put books on hold at the library at random. And this was one of them. Of course, without knowing what Heist Society was about, I waited for my turn to read the book. A few days after I put Heist Society on hold, I heard more about how good it was. I finally realized that it was written by Ally Carter (author who wrote the Gallagher Girls series). Ally Carter is a great writer and I really loved reading Gallagher Girls series. So I finally got Hesit Society from the library, and I started to read it right away. As always, Ally Carter wrote an amazing plot, and I couldn’t stop reading! I loved all of the characters, and I think that this is Ally Carter’s best book yet! It only took me three days to read (because of school), so I consider this as a quick and amazing read! I recommend this to all Gallagher Girls series fans and fans of schemes and mystery.
