Ink Exchange, By Melissa Marr

ink-exchange-melissa-marrInk Exchange, by Melissa Marr is the companion to Wicked Lovely. Leslie, one of Aislinn’s friends, has finally decided to get a tattoo of her own. She has been saving up for one for a long time, and now she has made her choice. Leslie finds the perfect tattoo and she can’t wait to get it. Little does she know that the tattoo changes her: she will be acting differently, feeling differently, and seeing everything else in a whole new way. She will also be dragged into the world of faeries, The Dark Court, that is. Irial, the king of the Dark Court, will be tied to Leslie after getting the tattoo. He will now be able to feed on mortals and become stronger. Nothing will ever be the same for Leslie.

My opinion: I loved reading Ink Exchange! I didn’t think I would like reading it at first, since it was only a companion to Wicked Lovely, but I was wrong. I thought that faeries were nice little flying myths that blended in with nature, but they’re not. Even though these faeries that Melissa Marr writes about are mean, I still enjoyed reading it. If you’ve read Wicked Lovely, you should read Ink Exchange. I can’t wait to read Fragile Eternity!!!
