After their beautiful yet brief bonding ceremony in Italy, Schuyler Van Alen and Jack Force are forced to separate. To fulfill the Van Alen Legacy, Schuyler travels to Alexandria to search for Catherine of Siena and the Gate of Promise. But Schuyler quickly discovers that everything she believed about the Gate to be wrong. Meanwhile, Jack makes the difficult decision to return to New York to face his twin and former bondmate, Mimi. But instead of a bitter reunion, he is faced with a choice for which there is no good option.
Mimi, with a most unexpected travel companion in Oliver Hazard-Perry, jets off to Egypt, too, to search for Kingsley Martin, her long lost love. With all roads leading to Hell, Mimi learns that not all love stories have happy endings. But she’ll have to put her own feelings aside if she’s going to save her crumbling Coven.
Packed with heartache, twists, and vampiric folklore, Lost in Time is sure to satisfy hungry fans’ cravings for more Blue Bloods adventure.

THOUGHTS
There are so many good things about this novel. Melissa de la Cruz knows how to satisfy your wait for her next installment without failure! I’ve waited almost a year for Lost In Time, and when it finally came out, I was super stoked to read it. I missed Schuyler and Jack!
De la Cruz continues to switch scenes from Schuyler, Mimi, and this time Allegra! One of my favorite parts of this novel was reading about Allegra’s past. Her life before she gave birth to Schuyler was so interesting. I’m looking forward to reading more about her.
There was also a surprising twist in the last quarter of the novel that made me feel bad for Mimi. That’s right, I said it! For the first time in all six books, I pitied Mimi. I’ve always thought of her as a selfish brat, but throughout the novel I started to see the true side of her: she’s a strong and determined girl that would do anything for love. Misjudged, sure. But Lost In Time gave me a whole new perspective of my least liked character out of the Blue Bloods Series!
De la Cruz’s writing was amazing as usual. Her imagery and vivid descriptions is what makes her one of my favorite authors. Her added characters was also a treat to see. I love the personality she adds to each of them!I’m only disappointed because I have to wait until January 2013 until The Gates of Paradise. January 2013 is a VERY LONG TIME FROM NOW so of course the final book (*tear!*) of Blue Bloods will be highly anticipated.
If you’ve read any of the Blue Bloods books, you have to read this one. You should really read them in order! It won’t make sense at all if you read one of the books without starting out with the first. Also, I highly recommend this series for vampire, romance, fantasy, and supernatural fans!
