Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment, is the first book of the bestselling series, Maximum Ride written by the bestselling author James Patterson. The story is narrated by fourteen-year-old Max who can fly. Its not just her though, she lives with the rest of her flock, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, the Gasman, and Angel. One day, while picking strawberries, a pack of half-wolf and half-humans take Angel, the youngest of the flock and take her to the School: a testing facility in Death Valley. Now its up to Max, Fang, and Nudge to save Angel, while Iggy and Gasman are protecting their home. Nothing can stop Max from saving Angel, but the problem only gets worse: the one person she thought she could trust has betrayed her. And now Max wants revenge. Can Max juggle all these problems while trying to save Angel? Or will she fail?
My opinion: I really enjoyed reading The Angel Experiment. It was different, new, and exciting. The action started right a way and never got me bored. Max is a great character too, she is strong and smart. Max makes the story fun because of her great personality. James Patterson will not disappoint you if you read The Angel Experiment and I will definitely read the rest of the series because the ending was great. I recommend this series to all teens, especially to those who love fantasy, fiction, and mystery.
