Movie Review: New Moon
Like every other Twilight (and vampire) fan went to go see New Moon, I went to go see it myself. First of all, I have to say that New Moon was okay. You must think that I’m crazy. Who doesn’t want to see Jacob take off his shirt? Well personally, I didn’t really enjoy reading the book either. I was really sad when Edward left Bella, so I thought, “How will you enjoy New Moon without Edward in the story?” Reading New Moon felt like reading it for days even though I finished in only two. I knew that New Moon (the movie) will be very similar to the book, so I wasn’t surprised with what happened. Although, it did make me somewhat annoyed. Especially the ending when (Warning: This part of my review contains spoilers of the movie.) Edward said “Marry me.” to Bella. That’s how the movie ended! That’s it! I was expecting way more than “Marry me.” Now I am looking forward for Eclipse (coming out on June 30th, 2010) to be much better (and less boring) than New Moon.
What I enjoyed of New Moon: There are many things that I enjoyed while watching New Moon. Including the action, how funny (and cheesy) some scenes were, and how the characters were just like the ones in the book. I also enjoyed the music from the movie, especially Friends (by Band of Skulls), Hearing Damage (by Thom Yorke), and Possibility (by Lykke Li.) The soundtrack is something that I will definitely be asking for Christmas.

I’m not a fan of the movies at all. I enjoyed the books better than the movie. Although I’ll still see the rest of the movies, the last two didn’t live up to the books. Not too many films live up to the original books.
