Peace, Love & Baby Ducks, by Lauren Myracle is about how fifteen-year-old Carly stays true to her sister and herself. After going away to camp for the summer, Carly comes back and sees that her younger sister, Anna has changed by her personality and her physical appearance. Carly is shocked, what happened to her sweet innocent sister? Carly and Anna’s relationship changes dramatically: they start fighting and disagreeing on things that Carly never imagined would happen. As Carly gradually “loses” her sister, she learns what being an older sister really means. With the help of some new friends, Carly learns about peace, love, and baby ducks.
My opinion: Lauren Myracle is ah-ma-zing. Ever since I read Eleven a couple years ago, I’ve fallen in love with Lauren’s writing ever since. Peace, Love & Baby Ducks was filled with all sorts of emotions. They make you feel all sorts of emotions without hating the book! If your into everything between family relationships, first crushes, sisterly love, and friendships, this is the right book for you. Lauren Myracle puts everything you want into a sweet non-fiction novel. I recommend this to everyone. Especially those Lauren Myracle fans!
