Meeting Maggie Stiefvater was a dream come true, but meeting Heidi R Kling in the same week? This has literally been the best week of my summer vacation. No really, I’m serious! =)
As you can see, I got to the event a little too early. I was really overwhelmed by Maggie’s event, so I just wanted to be prepared. With an hour left before the event, I (finally) got to read SEA! I got to read 78 pages within the 12:58 and 1:50 time slot.
And of course I am loving SEA. There isn’t much going on right now, but I’ll be reading lots more later.
I was really just here for Heidi, but if I was paying attention, I would have brought more money to buy the other books. (Sorry other authors!)
Personally, I always thought that the prologue is one of the deepest parts of a book. I really like reading prologues and then trying to figure out what they mean after I read the book because not all prologues make total sense. (Well, at least I think so.)
Heidi and the other authors had a raffle to give out some awesome swag, but since I was 3 or 4 numbers away, I didn’t get anything. There was also this family who won HALF of the swag given out, so I got really jealous. :\ But a raffle is a raffle, so CONGRATS.
I really wanted to stay a bit longer to chat with other fans of the book, but I didn’t have time.
But overall, Sunday was super fun! I can’t wait to start reading SEA!
