THOUGHTS
Reading So Much Closer was an absolutely adorable contemporary read! I was drawn to the book almost instantly after reading the synopsis and taking one look at the cover. I mean, who wouldn’t want to read about a girl who’s crazy enough to follow the guy she’s swooning over? And isn’t the view of The High Line gorgeous? Not convinced yet? No? Keep reading then!
Brooke is just like any other girl with crush. Except she likes him so much that she’s willing to move in with her dad in another state, go to a new school, and practically start over all for a boy. Would you do that? Especially if it was a boy like Scott? Honestly, I probably wouldn’t! But it was really fun to read about Brooke; she goes after what she wants and she doesn’t stop until she does. Most girls you read about in contemporary reads like So Much Closer are very different from Brooke. Instead of the main character waiting for Prince Charming to come to them, the Princess goes to Prince Charming.
Susane Colasanti is an amazing author. So Much Closer was not the first book I read from her; I’ve also read Something Like Fate. And let me tell you, both books are pretty amazing. You’ll fall in love with her characters! They each have their own unique personalities that will leave you more than satisfied. Especially John! Brooke is definitely right. Why aren’t there more guys like John?
So Much Closer is a great, quick read that’s all about finding yourself, finding what you really want in life, and finding out that Prince Charming may not be as charming as you think. Colasanti’s mentions of The High Line and Big Gay Ice Cream remind me of how amazing New York is. If this hasn’t convinced you to read this book yet, I really don’t know what will! Just stop hesitating and go read it. After all, “Regrets are nasty things.”

Great review, Ashlyn! I can’t wait to read this! I was lucky enough to win a copy of this book from Susane when it first came out, but sadly, I have not read it yet!
But your review has me pushing it up on my TBR list! After I finish Heist Society and Mistwood, I am reading this!
