The Clique, another New York Time’s best selling series by Lisi Harrison is about four preppy girls: Massie Block, Dylan Marvil, Alica Rivera, and Kristen Gregory living in Westchester County, New York. These popular seventh graders attend Octavian Country Day School and rule the school-literally. Massie is the leader, or the alpha as everyone calls her of “The Clique.” Dylan is second in command in their little group and is on major dieting even though she has a perfect body. Alicia is beautiful, “sweet”, and just might rule The Clique one day. Kristen is the genius of the group, she is also hard working and can bring you to tears with a simple insult. The girls’ lives are perfect until Claire Lyons, the girl from Florida who wears Keds and two-year old Gap overalls moves into Westchester. Claire and her family have just moved into Massie’s guest house which has basically ruined her life. The series begins as these girls try to keep up with their social lives and do what they do best.”The Clique… The only thing harder than getting in is staying in.”
Opinion: I have read all The Clique books and I loved reading each and every one of them. Lisi Harrison writes about the popular girls in a rich, private community which is enjoyed by all teens. If you haven’t read The Clique, you are surely missing out. I recommend this book to all teens who love reading Gossip Girl and Privileged series.
