The Deadly Sister, by Eliot Schrefer

SYNOPSIS – (From Goodreads)
Abby Goodwin is sure her sister Tabitha isn’t a murderer. But her parents don’t agree. Her friends don’t agree. And the cops definitely don’t agree. Tabitha is a drop-out, a stoner, a girl who’s obsessed with her tutor, Clyde Andrews…until he ends up dead. Tabitha runs away, and leaves Abby following the trail of clues. Each piece of evidence points to Tabitha, but it also appears that Clyde had secrets of his own. And enemies. Like his brother, who Abby becomes involved with…until he falls under suspicion.
Is Abby getting closer to finding the true murderer? Or is someone leading her down a twisted false path?

THOUGHTS
The Deadly Sister was a great, quick read! It had everything from mystery, suspense, and sisterly love. While it was not in the horror category, it was a very light and satisfying thriller, which usually I am not a fan of. So reading The Deadly Sister was a new turn in YA in fiction, which I certainly enjoyed!
One of the things I really enjoyed about The Deadly Sister was how much Abby loves and cares for her sister, Tabitha. It makes me think and consider how far I would go to protect my own sister. (But of course I’d go as far as possible to protect my sister! This book just really made me think!) While Abby is older and more responsible, Tabitha is younger and more reckless. If I were Tabitha, I would be extremely grateful that I have a sister like Abby.
The ending of the book was very shocking, actually. I was not disappointed! Eliot Schrefer’s writing is very gripping, I am definitely looking forward to reading more of his books. If you haven’t read The Deadly Sister yet, go read it! You’ll be glad that you did :)
