Since time immemorial, Mrs. Trollope has been seeking vengeance. And with the knocking at her door, on this, the Night of Dread, it appears the fateful day is finally come.
Clara and Jack are a young couple who’s car broke down in the middle of the night. The Night of Dread, that is. Luckily, they find a house to stay the night, but unluckily since they have to stay for “one more night.” (Which seems like they have to stay forever.) The house Clara and Jack are “trapped” in is owned by the lonely Mrs. Trollope. Mysterious in a creepy way, Clara knows something is going on. Jack tells her not to worry, but Clara won’t just give up. By taking the ultimate risk, Clara and Jack find out the truth about Mrs. Trollope and what she is going to do with the harmless young couple.
My opinion: If you’ve heard me musing over The Horrifying Tale of Mrs. Trollope a few weeks ago, you would know that I absolutely loved reading this. Mrs. T is a different and unique type of vampire story; NOT the typical girl-meets-boy-who-is-a-vampire type of story. Of course, if your a vampire fan, you absolutely have to read The Horrifying Tale of Mrs. Trollope because I know you would love reading it. If your not a fan of vampires, and you think that vampires itself doesn’t interest you, I guarantee that Mrs. T will change all that. All I’m saying is to just give this a try and you’ll be hooked onto Martin Dubow forever!!
