Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares is an amazing series that are shared by four best friends: Carmen, Tibby, Lena, and Bridget. Each of them have very different personalities, but they still manage to stay best friends. Carmen is sweet and very caring. Tibby rebels against anything she doesn’t like. Lena is a simply girly-girl. Bridget is the athletic goddess of the group. Each summer, they go to different places and share their stories with a pair of pants. Each of the stories are passed onto the next friend and shared with the other. The pants are said to give the girls good luck and help them with their problems. The series continue with three other books totaling four in all.
My opinion on the book: I really enjoyed reading this series. I first watched the movie, since I didn’t know that there was a series, then I found out there were books. I decided to read the books since there would be a second movie coming out. The books are a very nice summer read. They are very enjoyable and easy to relate to if you have lots of friends–with different personalities. I recommend this series to ALL women who love reading.
