Thirteen Reasons Why, By Jay Asher

thirteen reasons whyThirteen Reasons Why is a moving novel by author, Jay Asher. Jay Asher writes about teenager Clay Jensen. One day, Clay comes home and receives a package addressed to him outside his home. Clay then realizes the package is from a classmate and former crush Hannah Baker. Hannah Baker has committed suicide because of thirteen reasons: and Clay is one of them. Inside the package are tapes where Hannah explains, to thirteen people, why she has killed herself, and Clay is dying to know why he is one of the reasons. A sorrowful, but well-written story, Jay Asher will become one of your next favorite authors.

My opinion on the book: I have read Thirteen Reasons Why a couple of months ago and I just fell in love with it. Though the book was very sad, I loved reading it. Jay Asher writes that Hannah Baker commits suicide because of thirteen people, but she chose Clay Jensen: an ordinary guy you would think had no point of being a reason for this story. I enjoyed howJay Asher picked Clay as the first person point of view. I don’t think the story would be as good if he chose one of the other thirteen people.
